Process
From beginning to end, we work to ensure success through our client-focused process.

We add value to your project through our process.
We begin with a free consultation to understand our client’s vision and assess their technology installation and support needs. Our process supports home media, TV and AV installations, prewiring and networking projects, and automation setup and support, and many other technology applications.
System Layout and Rack Diagram
When provided a floor plan, we begin with a thoughtful layout for system devices. Proper placement for WiFi distribution, symmetry for speakers with nearby fixtures, proportional TV sizes in their spaces, home theater design, and security camera angles are all considerations while planning. We will also generate a diagram for an AV Rack for component organization and cable management if the project requires.
System Demo
Once a plan is drafted, we invite clients to our showroom for a system demo. While this is completely optional, we find this experience to be helpful in determining utility and direction for system design. We’ll show you a custom AV rack build with professional cable management, THX certified speakers, and a karaoke system with commercial grade venue speakers, lighting and controls all tied together with Control4. With this we finalize a system plan customized for the client’s use and generate a comprehensive proposal.
Cabling and Infrastructure
Phase One for any AV system installation is prewiring. All low voltage cabling, CAT6, coaxial, speaker wire, and fiber optic must be installed in the early stages of construction. Timing is everything. In a best case scenario, if the construction schedule permits, low voltage cabling should be sequenced after the plumbing, HVAC and electrical are complete, but before insulation and drywall.
Quality Control and Monitoring
As construction progresses it is important to monitor the project to ensure cabling and device locations are not covered by drywall, wood decking or masonry. We always cover our cables with clear plastic tubing to prevent exposure to paint, drywall and debris.
Electronics Installation
Electronics installation begins when the house is lockable, the floor in the AV Closet is finished, ceilings around devices and walls at TV installation locations are finished, and electricians have completed their trim-out. It is preferable for the AV team to be on-site while internet service is installed, and it is not unusual for an AV team to be coordinating with movers and other trades working on their punch lists. It is during this phase that the AV rack is assembled and installed; TVs and all other electronics components are connected and installed.
Programming and Customization
This is the fun part. Tailoring a system for a client’s use in each living space, office, or corporate conference room is the best part of our job. Systems like Control4 have the potential to engage a variety of actions, automations, and sequences throughout the space. Lighting control, home theater control, audio control, and security actions are commonly the most used.
Warranty Service
Depending on the scale of the project, it is generally expected that occasional glitches will need to be addressed. Upon substantial completion of a project, IQueue Media Company will warranty a project in its original scope free of charge for 30 days.
